The Company specializing in the repair of computer and electronic boards.
Telkom is its major customer. It is located in MidRand, Gauteng. The company has
branches in all the major centres countrywide.
As is usual with companies delivering goods they had a problem
establishing who had received goods, and if proof of that delivery had been received.
Signed PODs are received at branches and for the Debtors department to prove delivery
for a company a copy must either be faxed from the delivering branch, or all
documents must be delivered to Head Office, collated and filed for potential queries.
DocPOD was installed in November 2001. The Server software is installed
at their Head Office and document scan stations are installed at 7 branches countrywide.
We have created an import interface to create a masterlist of PODs to be scanned.
Daily indexed PODs are reconciled and outstanding PODs are reported. Debtors
controllers can email copies to clients and the system stores a history preventing
duplication of effort.
